Went here for the first time today, hubs told me about $1 pockets so we figured it'd be a good day for me to try it out. (He works down the street & has eaten here a few times) So we make the trek out there, arrive at 3:57, they were serving $1 pockets until 4. As we walk in, we notice the sign advertising the special deal is still out so we figure we are okay. Walk in, 2 people in line ahead of us. Guy in front of us says "are you still offering the dollar pockets?" "yes." He orders, walks away, the cashier says "it's after 4, we are no longer offering the dollar pockets." "seriously? we were in line at 4" "yes, we told him when he walked in he was the last one."(which was a lie, because I heard him ask) Mind you, there is no one behind us in line. I understand having a cut off time for a deal-especially if you have a bunch of people in line, but we were in line at 4, & they still had the sign up outside. So we decided to leave & not get anything. I was really turned off by the customer service. It would have been nice for her to tell us as soon as we walked in that they weren't offering the dollar pockets anymore, that could have changed the whole interaction. Originally, we were going to eat there regardless of the deal. So we go to leave, the manager is outside taking down the signs as we are walking out. Get in the car, I say "let's go talk to the manager because that's ridiculous how they handled that." Long story short(ish), we don't even get a chance to discuss the real issue at hand(customer service), he simply said, "give them the deal" & walked away. We made sure to thank him for giving us the deal, because he certainly didn't have to. We got two pockets, Southwest & Greek. Southwest has beans, roasted peppers, corn, cheddar, tomatoes, spinach & lettuce with a chipotle ranch dressing. Greek has black olives(canned), tomatoes, spinach & lettuce, & feta with a greek dressing. Both were tasty & nicely seasoned. I liked the Southwest better overall. Would I come here again? Maybe, maybe not, poor customer service is a big turn off for me. I know we got the deal, but that wasn't the point, the whole thing was handled wrong.

We like us some Pockets! There isn't much I can say about it beside it's fresh, clean and efficient. However this location hasn't seemed to catch on yet. It seems slow every other time we go in but when there is a line they seem to slow down operation. That would be my only purpose for one less star. You have your choices of pockets or you may try the calzones. I'm not much of a cheese eater these days since I'm very intolerant so I always opt for the pockets. I'll be damned if the calzones don't look good though. Be a pocket believer, especially for you veggiesaurs!

Great, fresh ingredients!! We tried this place for the first time and really enjoyed it! I love that the sides on the kids meals are fruit. I had the buffalo chicken calzone and we ordered the southwest chicken sandwich. Both items were very flavorful! We will definitely be back!

Love this place! It's becoming quite the popular place these days which is good for business but not my lunch time! The line was out the door! I always make my own pocket, but I see some items I would like to try like the original calzone and they have an awesome looking baked potato. All ingredients are super fresh and service is quick which is the mantra of the business. The pocket is freshly baked so you get a warm pocket in minutes stuffed with whatever you'd like. Oh yea, and they don't skip on the ingredients - they pack it in. They gave me a ton of sliced avocado which most businesses like to skimp on! They also have a good selection of sauces to choose from. The owner is super nice and service is always good. This place is a winner! One of very few good places to eat around this area.

Pockets is one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. I love the healthy and the not so healthy options. The staff is always very friendly. Including the manager. He has helped me a lot. They're not perfect, they do mess up but they don't blame you for their mess ups and they are quick to resolve offering a discount the next time you order. The delivery is pretty pricey, so I only use it when I need some extra special care... Like being sick. I love the build your own salads, they are amazing. They keep expanding their toppings too, which is great cause in the beginning they were pretty limited.

Oh my word, what an awesome place! I wish there was one a little bit closer to home, but I don't mind the drive to get here. I only wish I had come here sooner! I came on my lunch break today, and ordered a Full Southwest pocket with chicken. It comes with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, green peppers, a black beans and corn mix, red onions, and cheddar cheese. I added some jalapenos, southwest mix, and cilantro to mine as well. You get chipotle ranch dressing on the side. As I waited rather impatiently, I glanced around at the lunch rush crowd and was worried whether I'd make it back to Naperville in time. There were quiet a few orders ahead of me. The employees craft every order with precision and care, but the downside is that it leaves a large wait time. I finally received my order about ten minutes later ("Hidi?") and was on my way. I was going to dock a star for the "slow service" until I realized A) This is not McNasty Food that's been sitting under a heat lamp, and B) "Good things come to those who wait" is certainly applicable at this establishment. The "Full" portion is huge, to say the least. There was more food than I expected, but I'm not one to shun leftovers. To say the pocket was filled was an understatement; it was filled and so was half of the box it came in. Squeeeeee! I'm sorry, but it's hard not to get excited about huge portions in this sad little world of overcharging the customer for child size meal portions. Oh, speaking of which- my large pocket cost a little under $9. For the amount of food, and the quality of the ingredients used, I'd say the price is more than fair. The first bite was absolute heaven. Fresh, fresh, fresh. The lettuce was crisp and cold. The chicken was tender, juicy, and cut into bite sized cubes. Every other ingredient met or exceeded my expectations. When I brought it back to the cube farm, many coworkers came up and inquired what on earth smelled so good and "holy crap, where did you get that thing?" Nice. The restaurant itself is clean, with plenty of seating. The only gripe would be that there's only one door, so if people are waiting in line and it's quite long, it extends out the door and the people leaving have to squeeze past them. Not a big deal to some, but just an observation. The employees were all friendly and helpful. Despite the line growing longer, orders taking longer to prepare, and the phone ringing off the hook, the smiles remained on their faces and their attitudes positive. It was impressive. Their menu is diverse; specialty pizzas, calzones, potatoes, salads, kids meals, and soups and chili. You can pick from pre-selected options as I did, or you may create your pocket, salad, or pizza. With the pre-selected options, feel free to substitute the meat to one of your choice. If you decide to go the vegetarian route, a buck and some change is deducted from the cost of the pocket. How cool is that? Pockets boasts using fresh ingredients that contain natural colors and flavors. Hallelujah! Is anyone else tired of eating food made with stuff they can't pronounce and chicken that doesn't look like chicken? I am. Thank you Pockets for doing something different, and doing it well. I am definitely a fan and will be back very soon!

Alright, as far as the actual food is concerned, the sandwiches (or pitas, or whatever they're more appropriately called) are fantastic. They make their bread fresh, so it's warm when you eat it, and I like that they give you your sauce on the side so you can control how much (or little) you want. We saw some people getting salads while we were there, which is essentially just the Pockets sandwich in a bowl instead, and those looked great too. My criticisms on this place basically come down to price and presentation. The good was good, but $20 for lunch for two with no drinks seems expensive. At that price point, Pockets falls in that weird uncomfortable middle ground between saving money just grabbing Subway or similar fast food-level sandwiches and actually just going out to a restaurant for a couple bucks more. I guess you could make an argument towards "premium" ingredients or whatever, but watching them put your pita together is a bit of a turn off. Instead of something like Chipotle where they're heaping your stuff into a tortilla then rolling it up, if you order a sandwich here all the fixin's go on one of those supremely cheap white paper plates. From there, they jumble it all up with their hands on the plate and ram it into a pita. I understand the point of doing this is to toss the ingredients around more or less, but it just seems uncomfortably janky for them to be using paper plates and their hands to do it instead of making a dramatic presentation with stainless steel bowls and flipping the stuff around kind of like how they handle salads at Portillo's. I could see it if this was just some one-off hole in the wall sandwich place in a college town, but this is a franchise, right? Is this Pockets standard operating procedure? If so... It seems really weird. The source of our second sandwich was a bowl they pulled out of the fridge (presumably someone ordered the same thing as a salad and didn't show up or wanted something different or something). From there, they flopped the whole contents of the salad on a paper plate and did the same thing. It felt really weird, like "Hey you just ordered a sandwich here's someone else's leftovers." From a practical standpoint I realize it's all the same food, but, it'd be like going to Subway, ordering your sandwich, and them being like "Oh someone just ordered that let me put it on the bread you want." But, hey, whatever, the food was good which is what matters at the end of the day. I'm not usually very squeamish about the things I eat but there's just something unappetizing about a dude squishing all your food in between his fingers on a paper plate particularly when you just paid $10 for the privilege. If you're going to make your food like that, make it in the back so I don't have to stand there and watch you.

I love Pockets and I love that I have one close to home. Even though I usually pick it up, myself, I love that they deliver. I pretty much get the same thing here, every time. I love the build your own salads. So many fresh toppings to chose from! I love that they have avocado now, even though it stuck to the top of the container. Doesn't have to look pretty to taste good. :) The, homemade, ranch dressing is crack and I will lick the container as to not waste a bit of it. Other favorites are the create your own baked potato and their frozen yogurt. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The manger is super nice. Any time there has been an issue, like an item we didn't get, he always corrects the issue. He takes great pride in the quality, accuracy and keeping his patrons happy. The restaurant and wash rooms have always been clean and nice looking.

I LOVE this location of Pockets! The first time I visited, I had to wait a bit for my order, and decided to check-in on Facebook and plug the store a bit. As it turns out, the owner was there at the time, and saw the post immediately, thanked me, and we had a good conversation! Though it's a (small) chain, it was nice to get a personal thank you while I was there! I've only tried a few things at Pockets, namely because I love the flavors too much to differ. My favorite salad is the Asian (the dressing is out of this world) and I love to make my own calzone - the ranch dressing is equally as good! I have to believe they make their own dressings, because they're delicious! My only quip, coming from someone in Marketing, is that the advertising in-store is outdated. When I visited and had to wait, I noticed that the stands on the tables were months past the advertised expiration date.

So easy and quick. I usually order online and pick it up because this place gets SLAMMED during lunch.!! I've never had anything I didn't like. The canzone s are probably my favorite. The staff is friendly and always thanks me for waiting... which I find funny since they make everything fresh after I order it! Great find!

Love the pockets...perfect favor combos and the chicken chili was awesome..I made my own half pocket with chicken, red onion, cranberries, romaine lettuce, and cilantro. All the ingredients were very fresh. The sesame ginger dressing is outstanding. I think I've found a new favorite place for quick and tasty meals. I will be back to try a calzone.

I have been to Pockets a couple times now and have not been disappointed. GET THE CHICKEN CHILI. The chicken chili is awesome, not gonna lie, when I think chili never have I thought chicken until Pockets. Great flavor and the chicken is a nice touch. The sandwiches are also good, I feel like they have added more to the sandwich when you order it now because from the first time I had it when I thought, meh, could have a little more to now, big improvement. I had the Southwest and it's extremely good. Imagine taking good bread and shoving a good salad inside of it. That's what you get basically. And it's a combinations that works for sure!

I love the food here. Great alternative to other fast food places. Service was poor. Not able to use points or a coupon I had accumulated. I was over charged and not given a refund when it was their mistake admittedly. A new girl made a mistake and I had to pay for it. Good food but the service needs help.

NEW LOCATION!!! Fuel up on delicious Pockets before a day of shopping at the Premium Outlets (which is a couple driving blocks away). The site is new and fresh and the service is friendly. Environment: This store went through months of remodeling construction before finally opening this summer. The interior is new, clean, and seats a couple dozen customers. Bathrooms are also new and clean. Service: The service has been prompt and pleasant. The dishes are prepared on the spot and are pretty quick (10 minutes depending on your order, calzones take longer). If you are on-the-go, it's best to pre-order online or by calling in ahead of time. Food: My all time favorite salad is the Berry Bleu with House Dressing. Berry Bleu is salad topped with tons of edamame, cucumber, bleu cheese, and almonds. (The edamame makes it especially filling and the cucumbers creates a fresh and light crunch. If you are not a bleu cheese fan, substitute with a milder feta.) The House dressing is French-based, mild tasting with a slight tang. Parking: Parking is right outside the small strip of stores and easily available Unique: One unique features I noticed at this location is a soft serve ice cream station with an array of toppings. Sweet!

We have been going to Pockets in the city since 1987. We were so loyal that we would venture from the suburbs to the city just to get their calzones and veggie lo-cal pockets. It was AWESOME! Unfortunately, they changed their dough recipe a few years ago. Despite this, we thought we would try again. Oops! What a mistake. We ordered the same items and were disappointed with both. The calzone was significantly smaller than before. The dough on both reminded us of sawdust. That's it.Another Chicago institution (like Red Tomato) is gone.

My husband picked up our food and brought it home, so I can't comment on the abiance or customer service. The food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. I wish the menu online matched the menu at the store, but that's my only complaint. I had the Southwest pocket and my husband had the Italian, we both liked our own and each other's. Next time I'll ask for extra dressing. The amount povided with my southwest pocket was not nearly enough.
